Cut The Clutter, Embrace The Light • A Fool’s Journey

You ever notice how much energy stuff holds? The people who gave it to you, the time in your life it was used, the emotions you’ve felt while using it—all of it builds up into the energy something carries. You can sometimes feel it when you look at something or especially when you pick it up. It’s like things come with their own emotional baggage.

I’ve been feeling this vibe pretty strongly. So, I started clearing out a few things around the house. And let me tell you—it wasn’t just about tidying up or downsizing. It was about releasing energy, specific energy I was ready to let go of. The process left me feeling a little anxious at first, but much better at the end. I immediately felt lighter, and I knew I’d made space for something better.

Because that’s how it works, right? When you let go of stagnant energy, you make room for something new. It happens both metaphorically and literally when it comes to “stuff.”

And guess what? That’s exactly the energy of this week. Are you feeling it, too? If not, it might be time to think about it in the days ahead.

Next Week in the Cards

This week’s reading is brought to you by my well-loved Legacy of the Divine Tarot deck.

Outlook: Queen of Swords

The Queen of Swords cuts through the noise with sharp focus and clarity. This week, she’s calling for a culling. Anything that doesn’t align with your mission, your goals, or your higher self? Out it goes. This isn’t about drama or emotion—it’s about practicality and precision. What fits stays. What doesn’t is discarded without hesitation.

Advice: The Sun

Here’s your mantra for the week: Keep it simple. Ask yourself, “What makes me happy? What truly lights me up?” That’s your focus. The Sun reminds you to choose joy—pure, uncomplicated joy—and let go of anything that dims your shine.

Together, these cards are a power duo. The Queen of Swords brings the clarity to decide what’s worth keeping, and The Sun helps you focus on the why: your happiness. If something isn’t contributing to your joy, it’s time to let it go. The Queen doesn’t dwell on sentimentality or get bogged down in nostalgia. She’s efficient, fair, and practical. She knows what she wants and gets it done.

This isn’t about anyone else’s feelings or the “why” behind the changes. It’s not about how things used to be or why they aren’t the same now. None of that matters. What matters is focusing on what makes your soul sing. The goal is joy—your joy. Full stop.

Now, for you:

What are you holding onto out of obligation or inertia? What energy doesn’t fit your life anymore?  What could you release to make space for the light to shine in? This week, give yourself permission to aim for simplicity and happiness. You deserve it.
