hey i have a question, i want to say trade forex but i’m struggling to understand what brokerages to use as i live in alberta. Most of the brokers need you to be an ‘accredited investor’ which i think is bullshit
Have you found any broker
@@j_brar_shayri Any offshore broker and any offshore prop firm will do the job 👍
I would love to see you do a video about the pros and cons and reasons why Canadians would want to have exposure to the USD market and why Questrade is the best option for that? Obviously access to US markets is a good thing, but are there tax advantages? And I don’t fully understand currency hedging, so more info would be awesome! Had to sub to your channel, very insightful. Thanks!
i think its mainly just saving on the fees questrade vs other options, wealthsimple for example charges you a conversion fee every time you buy and sell a USD stock, where as questrade charges you once then you have that USD for good and can buy and sell, obviously if you buy and sell often the per buy/sell adds up, but wealthsimple does charge management fees that may not see like alot the first year, but if your giving them.5 percent for 30 years it adds up fast. so yeah i don’t think there will be any different in a tax sense from platform to platform, the main thing is which service will work best for you with fees.
Yeah conversion fee each buy(1,5%) each sell(1,5%) can become a lot
Any recommendations for more advanced charting and real time data?
if you’re looking for data use TradingView for the information that is what all the traders use for the information that they use for making their trades
if you’re new to trading or new to it just search up a video on how to use trading view 20min vid max

can’t add referral, its says not valid
What do you all use while trading options in Canada ?
Which account qualify for IPO buy and sell and frequent trades

Wealthsimple: You pay 10 per month for USD accounts when you have less than 100k. USD accounts are free when you have more than 100k.
but it’s limited to only US and Canada accounts. GBP, Japanese, etc,is fun
thank you for all the information now my next question is that do we pay taxes on capital gains from stocks listed in USA if we buy them in TFSA
No you don’t. Your capital gains are reported as CAD in all cases. If it’s within a TFSA, you don’t pay taxes no matter what currency it comes from.
I’m looking to buy options in Canada which one should I do man ?? I have under $1000
