A few years ago I was an engineer, working in banking, struggling paycheck-to-paycheck.
I had some assets, stocks and ETFs, that were appreciating over time, but I basically couldn’t use them for anything.
What I mean is:
If you buy an apartment, you own it. And it can appreciate over time. But you can also get some cashflow out of it. You can rent it and get some cashflow to help you repay the mortgage.
I started researching, and I found OPTIONS. And I learned that, as with real estate deals, you can buy a stock for a fraction of its price (sort of a down payment) and you can kind of “rent it out”, and eventually, if things went well, own it for free.
That’s how I got started with options trading. And I got hooked.
I could get some cashflow every month and still hold my stocks. I could wait until the right time came to enter the market and get paid in the meantime.
Options in the traditional markets are thought for the institutional investors. Nowadays are widely available to retail, but they have some big limitations.
Crypto options, give much more flexibility. With crypto options, you have all the advantages of the traditional options, without the limitations.
Options market surpassed futures ones recently. And still, many people are not aware of their full potential.
That’s why I wrote this guide, condensing the knowledge I’ve gained in the last years.
All digested, and ready to consume. All explained so that any retail crypto investor can understand it.
This is a sneak preview of what you’ll find inside:
– How you can build a simple trade to replicate spot or futures trading, for a fraction of their cost, without risk of being liquidated. Page 34.
– How you can protect your crypto portfolio in case the market goes against you. Page 21.
– Some strategies that will allow you to enter the market cheaper than current market price, by giving up on highly improbable tail gains. Page 60.
– Some strategies where you get paid to enter the trade. You first get paid, then your trade unfolds depending on the market, like any other trade. Pages 65, 72.
– An explanation of why selling options is not as risky as it looks. In fact, selling options has some edge over buying them. Page 43.
– The reason why Theta and Delta are the main Greeks you should be tracking in your options trades, and what can you do to dominate them. Pages 33 and 38.
– A strategy that will allow you to get a cashflow from your current crypto positions, by ¨renting them out¨ as if they’d be real estate properties. Page 94.
– A strategy to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum below current market price, while getting paid for it until the purchase takes place. Page 97.
– A strategy that works well in crypto due its volatility, and that has generated me substantial profits in the past. Page 83.
– A couple of strategies to generate income in any market, regardless of direction. Pages 80 and 85.
– The reason why stop-loss may not be the best tool at hand when trading crypto options, and what to do about it. Page 102.
– The reason why people tend to overestimate real world bad events and how to profit form it. Page 50.
– Why current market price doesn’t necessarily matter for your target PNL , and how you can decide how much you want to earn and how much you are willing to risk for it, regardless of current options prices. Page 99.
And a few other things.
Buying this book, you can invest in your financial education, an put yourself ahead most of the people in the crypto trading space.
